Objective

Find, synthesize and test new anti-malarial agents.

Progress

1. The need for anti-malarials was found from a search for: a pressing need
2. 220 target molecules provided by Find-a-Drug
3. A collaborator for the in vitro testing was found
4. A general solid support synthesis was found that should work for most of this library
5. A much shorter and cheaper one pot solution synthesis was found
6. A database of the compounds needed for the Ugi synthesis has been started here
7. Labwork has started and is reported in the Experiments Blog
8. Lab book summary page started.
